Michaelsen has shared the stage with leaders and achievers, including General Colin Powell, Laura Bush, Rudy Giuliani, Steve Forbes, Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and Bill Cosby. Kari is also known for her years on the road, lecturing at the popular Get Motivated Business Seminar. She also owns her own production company and is recognized for her popular talk show In the Spotlight. After working on television for over two decades, Michaelsen left the television industry in 2001. Some of her television shows include Scared Straight! Another Story (1980), ABC Afterschool Special (1980), The Choice (1981), The Incredible Hulk (1981), Gimme a Break! (1981-86), Fantasy Island (1982), The Kid with the 200 I.Q. (1983), ABC Afterschool Special (1983), Hart to Hart (1983), and Full House (1989). Since 1990, Kari has been giving public speeches and organizing educational seminars. Michaelsen attended the University of California, Los Angeles, after graduating from Beverly Hills High School in 1979. Michaelsen's family moved to Beverly Hills in 1975, and she quickly became a guest star on sitcoms like Diff'rent Strokes, and Eight Is Enough.
